6th Annual Healing the Land, Feeding the Spirit Indigenous Food Summit

Greetings Relatives!
You’re invited to RMTLC’s annual Food Sovereignty Summit:
Healing the Land, Feeding the Spirit,
on June 2–3, 2026, at the Billings Depot in Billings, MT.
This gathering will bring together Tribal Nations from across the Rocky Mountain region and beyond
to share knowledge centered on traditional foods, food sovereignty, holistic healing, and cultural practices.

Indigenous Food Summit
A central component of this convening is integrating Indigenous food systems as both medicine and teaching tools.
To honor this purpose, we will have a buffalo harvested and prepared by Native chefs for a traditional meal and a
hands-on cultural education experience.
Every part of the buffalo will be used respectfully and intentionally, in accordance with cultural teachings,
to demonstrate traditional practices and values tied to stewardship, sustainability, and sovereignty.
🌾 This is more than a food summit—it’s a return to the land, the teachings, and the spirit that nourishes us. 🌾
