The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is asking for elected Tribal leaders, Tribal health program directors, and Tribal dental program directors to participate in the 2018 Tribal Oral Health Assessment!
Tribes in Alaska, Washington State, and Oregon are using an innovative workforce model of focused providers called dental therapists. Many Tribes across the country have expressed a desire to bring dental therapy to their communities to help improve oral health outcomes in Indian Country. This assessment will provide NIHB with data to inform our oral healthcare advocacy efforts at the community, state, and federal level.
If you are a Tribal leader, health director, or dental director, please complete this assessment by May 1, 2018. The assessment should take 6-8 minutes to complete. All responses will remain confidential.
Please note that this assessment is only open to Tribal leaders, health directors, and dental directors. If you would like to learn more about how dental therapy might be right for your Tribe, visit NIHB’s Tribal Oral Health Initiative.
If you are interested in more information or getting involved in Tribal oral healthcare advocacy efforts or would like offer your thoughts about oral health in your community, please contact NIHB’s Congressional Relations Coordinator, Brett Weber, at email@example.com.
