This webinar provides a summary introduction to CDC’s Data Modernization Initiative and describes considerations for implementing cloud technologies as a solution for data storage, management, and analytics. The webinar assumes little technical knowledge and addresses topics such as what cloud technology provides and the benefits and limitations of moving to the cloud, particularly as it relates to digital sovereignty. The information presented may be of use to high-level decision makers who are interested in using cloud to house data and better access to scalable computing, but may be concerned about hosting data outside of on-premise computers. Additionally, more technically knowledgeable participants can get deeper explanations and suggested solutions regarding any specific needs during the discussion following the presentation.
