Join the MPCA for The Basic Tool Box for Working with SUD Patients in Primary Care on Thursday, March 14 at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center in Billings, MT. The Basic Tool Box is an advanced training for behavioral health providers. Learn about abbreviated ASAM dimensional assessments and use for primary care settings, determining when to refer to a higher level of care, facilitating warm handoffs within a community, goals of behavioral health/SUD services in primary care and levels of integration, the impact of interdisciplinary communication on patient care, brief intervention models and utilizing pragmatic harm reduction strategies. Who Should Attend: This is an advanced training for behavioral health providers who have had minimal or no training in addiction work yet have or will be working with patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in their setting. The Tool Box was specifically designed for, but not limited to: Doctors, Behavioral Health Providers, Nurses, and Therapists (LCSW, LCPC, LAC). The Basic Tool Box has been approved by the Montana Board of Behavioral Health for 7.0 CEU.
