HUD Part 58 Environmental Training (FREE)

The HUD Region VIII Environmental Office will conduct a free in-person three-day training on April 25-27, 2017 at the HUD Denver Regional Office for Cities, Counties, States, Tribes, Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) and others which prepare and/or process HUD Environmental Reviews under 24 CFR Part 58 in Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa. The course provides an understanding of HUD requirements that implement the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related federal environmental authorities dealing with historic properties, floodplain management, contamination/toxics, wetlands protection, noise control, environmental justice, explosive hazards and more. The training is suitable as a refresher for experienced practitioners and an in-depth overview for those newly performing such reviews. Space is limited. Attendance is restricted to two (2) people per organization. Registration is not open at this time. Registration notice and the agenda will be available early March 2017.
